A Conversation with Ally Vesterfelt

When I picked up this book that my amazing friend Ally Vesterfelt wrote, I’ll have to be honest………I thought to myself, “wow, this is not a book for a dude that just screamed adventure and excitement” however, this couldn’t be more from the truth. This book surprised me on every adventure that it took me on! It screamed HELLO to every ounce of my being that said “live life to fullest Daniel!!!!!”

I hope that you’ll purchase this book and go on this journey with my friend Ally. Maybe, just maybe you’ll find a way to “Pack Light” and live a more abundant life, or maybe even the life that you were always intended to live. If you’re looking for a new adventure, a new life, a new career path, ministry path, or just an overall need for inspiration in your everyday life……this is the “quick read” book for you!

Here are a few quotes that stuck out to me among the many throughout the book.

“I DARE YOU TO TEST GOD AND SEE IF HE CAN MAKE BEAUTIFUL WHAT YOU MAKE A MESS OF”
“EMBRACE THE UNEXPECTED, EVEN WHEN YOU’RE NOT SURE HOW IT WILL TURN OUT”
“YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHAT COLD FEELS LIKE BEFORE YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR NEED FOR A JACKET”
” WHAT IF THE THINGS WE FEEL MOST ATTACHED TO ARE THE THINGS STANDING BETWEEN US AND HEAVEN? NOT “HEAVEN” AS IN THE PLACE WE GO WHEN WE DIE, BUT HEAVEN AS IN THE TANGIBLE PERCEPTION OF GOD’S PEACE, LOVE AND MERCY, BREAKING INTO OUR REALITY AND OUR LIVES RIGHT NOW”

Daniel, this was an awesome interview. I really enjoyed the laid-back vibe of it—(sipping of coffee, dishes clanking in the background.) It felt like two people having a discussion around the kitchen table. I loved everything about it!!

Thanks Diane! That was the whole point, so I’m glad it came across that way. I’m much better at conversation than interviewing people for sure! ha ha!
